COIL: collaborative learning for the heat transition

Fossil heat sources need to be replaced by renewable sources of heat, but this so-called “heat transitiion” isn’t really coming off the ground. On behalf of the Duch Agency for Enterprise, DRIFT institute for transition has called into being the COIL: the Community Of Innovative Learners. Together we’ll learn how we can speed up the heat transition in the Netherlands. DuneWorks supports COIL specifically in learning how to learn collaboratively. The results can also help improve similar initiatives in the future that seek to jumpstart sustainable and social transitions.

The COIL consists of a number of innovators from various sectors involved in the heat transition, such as architects, neighbourhood associations, researchers and consultants. For this innovative learning path, we’ll map out the obstacles and opportunities for the heat transition through three cases. They will form the basis for robust lessons and solutions for rapid transitions.
