The energy transition can only be successful is well-trained trade people are available. State-of-the-art craftsmanship is a prerequisite for reaching the policy goals for 2030 and 2050. BUS-NL makes an inventorisation of the status quo in order to understand which skills we think are necessary and how this has developed in recent decades. What has happened in recent years? What has been going well? On which aspects do we have to accelerate? The network BuildUpSkillsNL has been working on this issue since 2011.

We also look at the period from 2022 until 2032 and which challenges lie ahead of us. In the second half of 2023 we aim at creating a roadmap to envision how the acceleration of the necessary skills can take place. ISSO, TVVL, Leren voor Morgen, Building Changes, Het Groene Brein, Duneworks and ROC KWIC work together on this issue, keeping close ties to a broad network of actors in order to safeguard sufficient applicability for the sector.
