Jordan Young

Jordan is a junior researcher at DuneWorks. His research is concerned with the state of democratic values, welfare and social justice within large-scale societal transition. Within the energy transition he is primarily interested in innovative forms of governance and citizen participation as well as concepts which allow  citizens to yield the benefits of local energy production. Jordan is furthermore passionate about the transition towards the circular economy and its societal impacts.

Jordan studied Coastal and Marine Management (Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences) and Economics and Governance (University of Wageningen). He dedicated his bachelor thesis to the social justice of the Regional Energy Strategies of the province of Gelderland. Currently he is enrolled in the master’s program Urban Environmental Management at the University of Wageningen and carries out voluntary work for the young people’s movement of the Regional Energy Strategy of Arnhem-Nijmegen, JongRES Arnhem-Nijmegen.
