Maisam Haydary

Maisam works at Duneworks as a researcher and is committed to a just and inclusive energy transition. He believes that the (energy) transition is not possible without the involvement and participation of all groups of citizens in society. Currently, it is clearly visible that large groups are not yet involved, or they do not feel engaged to participate and contribute. This dynamic, in a context of rising energy prices and increasing (energy) poverty, inequalities in urban regeneration, and declining trust among groups of citizens, risks deepening divides in society. Maisam believes this (energy) transition is a great opportunity to tackle these issues together.
Maisam has a background in Spatial Planning and Cultural Anthropology. He also gained experience in various sustainability and energy issues during his time at Klimaatverbond Nederland.
