Great Composite: Open innovation

Great Composite is a cooperation between various organisations regarding composite materials. At the start of the project, participants were reserved in cooperating. An obvious attitude; who would share knowledge with competitors, especially when talking about an innovation that is characteristic for the company? The organisations learned however that an open innovation process can create a win-win situation when a feasible cooperation strategy is used. The success of an open innovation process depends on several factors, such as the type of cooperation, trust, process management and the role of research centers to name a few. All lessons from the Great Composite alliance, as well as lessons from literature are bundled in a digital handbook.
