DuneWorks is a research and advice firm, that combines a diverse range of disciplinary backgrounds: anthropology, technology studies, political science, urban planning & social geography, transition and innovation studies. We focus on social issues concerning sustainability and sustainable innovations.

We take the level of individuals, their practices and behaviors as starting point. However, we expand this perspective to also include the influences of the physical, technological, political, institutional and social environment on innovation processes and behavioral change.

We often partner with other institutes to conduct social science research on an academic level, but also conduct practice-oriented research, and translate and target research to various target groups (e.g. using storytelling), provide (strategic) advice, and support participatory, dialogue and co-creation processes.
